Meet the Team: Cheyann Abrek

Cheyann joined our team in January of 2022 as Office Manager. Her positive attitude and make-it-happen leadership were immediately felt. She takes initiative, thinks creatively, and brings top organizational skills to her role. These are the same skills that led her to pursue a Public Relations and Marketing degree at Roger Williams University.

As Office Manager, Cheyann handles HR responsibilities (payroll and benefits), accounts payable and receivable tasks, marketing and event coordination, and client and project data management using our construction project management system, BuilderTrend.

Before joining us, Cheyann worked at Boston Magazine in their advertising department as a Sales Assistant where her organizational strengths were honed. She gathered what was needed for ads from clients, worked with the designers, and ensured specs were correct for both print and digital media.

Her interest in residential real estate and home improvement isn’t limited to her role at JM Construction, but also in a professional capacity as a realtor, where she’s licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

During her time off, she enjoys hiking every weekend with her boyfriend Tom and their rescue dog Maya. Some of her favorite trails are found in Rehoboth State Park which is not far from her home. She loves yoga, the outdoors, traveling and exploring new places all over MA and RI, even if it’s a drive to get there. She enjoys watching movies where she has a special talent for recognizing and identifying actors. Feel free to test her skills – she’s quite impressive!
