We feel incredibly lucky to have found JM Construction. They went above and beyond anything we expected – from the moment we walked in their door until the day our bathroom renovation was completed. The first person we met was designer extraordinaire, Jenn. Her sparkling, caring personality on that visit was why we decided to go with JM. She understood exactly what we wanted and found elements we never would have found on our own. No matter how busy she was, she always made time to answer our questions or drop by with more color samples. The owner, Justin, was also incredibly caring. He was always available to us. He dropped by our home more than once to check on things and get our input on how the work was going. Our project manager/master carpenter, Steve, was the best we’ve ever seen. His building skills, attention to detail, and insistence on getting everything right was exemplary. He insisted on the highest level of work from all the crews and treated them with respect. He always had a smile on his face and brought so much joy into our home while working. At the end of each day, JM cleaned up to the point you wouldn’t know they had been here. Amazing. We have been left with a beautiful bathroom and wonderful memories of JM and all the people who work for them.

Our project involved a complete remodeling of our unfinished basement, and we couldn’t be happier. Upon first meet, we could perceive Jeff’s integrity as he talked us through the process and finances, and we noticed the caring nature with which he spoke about his team members. And that team– simply put, blew us away. Steven was the project manager, and he is sharp as a tack. The reverence he brought to every single aspect of the work was noteworthy. His communication was stellar; he was extremely thoughtful about our space; and we always knew what to expect. Moreover- he was simply a delight of a human (our anxious pup agrees). Every worker and vendor that we interfaced with through JM was courteous in our home, and it was clear they were working hard. (Special shout out to JM’s Matias, and also to Zhennaa behind the scenes for her thoughtful and classy touches!). Finally– Jenn. The unassuming design magic of this woman is legendary. As inexperienced design people, but not without opinion, she worked beautifully and diligently with us for the entire project. Somehow she was able to integrate ideas that seemed impossible, offering her expert eye and “big picture” design sense, and there was no detail unnoticed under her watch! We are beyond grateful for the dedication of this team and the basement of our dreams!!!!

JM really hit a home-run! We wanted a screened in porch, but ended up with a luxurious four season sunroom! Jenn was great to work with for design and when we finally got started on the project Skipper was a true professional. He kept a close eye on the construction and was always available (even on off days) to clear up confusion or provide direction for an unscheduled delivery. the entire JM team have been fantastic from the beginning design phase straight through construction and to punch list and follow up. Their estimate process was clear and accurate, the design process was just what we needed to realize our dream room and we look forward to working with them again on our next project!

JM Construction did a great job with our basement home gym. O’ben in particular was excellent! He kept us updated with next steps, timing, and overall process. We would recommend JM Construction for those looking to do a home project.

I rarely write reviews, but JM fully deserves these 5 stars for their recent remodel of almost the whole upstairs of our home! The team have created 3 wonderful new bathrooms, where we originally had two, and found space from what seemed like thin air! The master en-suite JM designed with us is the spa-like space we have always dreamed about and is better than any hotel we have ever been in. We are delighted with it! JM has constructed a suite-like space for our son, with an incredible walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom, complete with a window, where there was none! In our spare room, they have created a beautiful en-suite and added a window for natural light. Working with Skipper as our project manager was an absolute pleasure. He is calm, thoughtful and an amazing problem solver. We appreciate everyone who has helped to realize our vision for what our home could be. We recommend without hesitation.

JM Construction just remodeled my home office. Even though it was probably a “smaller” project compared to the type of work they usually do, the entire JM team made me feel like I was their most important client. Communicative, committed to staying within our budget, and extremely clean and meticulous with every aspect, our Project Manager, Steven, went above and beyond to minimize disruptions for my family and complete the project on schedule. And he was a joy to interact with. I couldn’t be happier with my refreshed office that allows me to run my small business more efficiently, and will enlist JM Construction again for future home renovations. They exceeded all expectations, and I highly recommend JM for anyone considering a home renovation project.

We were in desperate need of an exterior refresh in the backyard including replacement of our existing wood deck that was in need of a facelift. We selected JM Construction to help us with a new deck remodel including composite deck materials, new railings and stairs. They provided us with excellent material suggestions and helped walk us through the design and construction process. Even though the project was scheduled for March, they were here everyday working through the cold weather. We are very happy with the end result and recommend their work for any project inside and outside.

We chose JM Construction for our kitchen, living, dining area remodeling. The team we worked with was fantastic from start to finish of the project: Excellent communication at every phase of the project, designing to our needs and budget, keeping the promised timelines and an overall excellent workmanship. They have a policy to finish every detail of the design work and order all parts before starting any work on site. The project consultation with Tim and design phase with Jenn were excellent. Tim sat with us for multiple meetings to answer all our questions regarding pricing and timelines. Jenn is a great designer and was fantastic to work with. While she incorporated all our needs in terms of opening up the space and increasing storage, she also clarified when we tended to make questionable design choices. The end product is a beautiful space with all our original problems resolved! For the construction phase we worked with Justin and O’Ben. They maintained the 12-14 week timeline, communications were timely, there was full transparency about any cost changes with customer approvals, any problems identified during construction were dealt with smoothly. Justin and O’Ben communicated with us no matter when we reached out to them, including some issues over the weekend. O’Ben and his crew on site were very pleasant from start to finish. They built us a comfortable temporary kitchen space through the 12 weeks of work. They left a clean construction area every day. Once the work was completed, they let us use the space for some time to fix any problems before calling the project fully done. Overall, we are very happy with this team and look forward to working with them for our future projects.
